Don't rush into it. There are servers that get deleted from untrustworthy people

because if you ban someone it comes off as 'this person did something bad' so giving them the chance to leave quietly is a good idea like, in this case, sure it's your server and your rules but if it's not based in laws but your own feelings, being diplomatic is ideal
